The scene
Arizona won the national championship in 1997, beating three number-one seeds on the way, and McKale Center has been among the hardest places in the country to win ever since. Arizona Stadium hosts football on campus, and Hi Corbett Field — once a spring training home for major-league clubs — now belongs to the university's baseball team.
Rivalries that matter
Arizona against Arizona State is the Territorial Cup, the oldest rivalry trophy in American college football: the two schools first played in 1899, before Arizona was a state.
Where to watch
Fourth Avenue and Main Gate Square beside campus; the walk from downtown to McKale runs straight through both.
