The scene
The Crew were the first team announced for Major League Soccer and in 1999 opened the first soccer-specific stadium in the country. When the owner tried to move the club to Austin in 2017, a supporter campaign — Save the Crew — kept it in Ohio and ended with new local owners and a new downtown ground. Ohio Stadium, the Horseshoe, holds more than 100,000 on autumn Saturdays; the Blue Jackets play downtown at Nationwide Arena.
Rivalries that matter
Ohio State against Michigan needs no framing. The Crew's Hell is Real derby against FC Cincinnati is named for a billboard on the interstate between the two cities.

The Short North and the High Street campus bars for football; the Arena District for hockey and soccer.
