The scene
The Packers have no single owner. More than half a million shareholders hold stock that pays no dividend and cannot be resold at a profit, and the club publishes its books each year. Lambeau Field opened in 1957 and has sold out every game since 1960; the season-ticket waiting list runs well past a hundred thousand names. The 1967 NFL Championship against Dallas — the Ice Bowl — was played at fifteen below zero.
Rivalries that matter
Packers against Bears is the oldest rivalry in the NFL, first played in 1921 and contested more often than any other. Minnesota and Detroit complete a division where every game is played inside the division's own weather.
